Belair Cantina is welcomed to the corners

To celebrate that news and the construction progress to date at the site, the restaurant and developers of The Corners hosted lunch for nearly 300 workers and local dignitaries. Guests heard from BelAir about why its owners chose to locate its fifth and largest location at The Corners, and guests were given a site tour via the sidewalks and roadways that are nearly now complete.

BelAir, known for its inventive taco flavors and nearly 100 varieties of tequila, will be located along the northwest end of The Corners’ Market Square, directly across from Von Maur. With seating for up to 250 guests, the BelAir space will feature a central bar surrounded by dining spaces that flow out to sidewalk seating and an intimate outdoor patio fronting the Market Square. It will open along with The Corners in Spring 2017.

“We have had our eye on BelAir for some time as the type of regional favorite eatery that will create a sense of community for the people who live, work, and shop at The Corners of Brookfield. After I visited one of BelAir’s other locations, I knew right away that this restaurant would be well received and bring a certain vibrancy to our Market Square,” said Robert Gould, vice president of U.S. Operations for IM Properties.

At the event, BelAir served its signature tacos, nachos and all the toppings, providing an opportunity for the construction teams to enjoy lunch and celebrate the job well done so far.

“The event was amazing, and we are thrilled that our restaurant will be in such a prominent space at the high-profile lifestyle center,” said Kristyn Eitel, one of four owners of BelAir.

In addition to BelAir Cantina, tenants at The Corners include: Anthropologie, Arhaus, Anthony Vincé Nail Spa, Café Hollander, Evereve, Francesca’s, Free People, lululemon athletica, L.L.Bean, Paper Source, Scout and Molly’s, Sendik’s, Twigs and Von Maur.
