Goddess and the Baker is a modern-day gourmet storefront offering fast, fresh food and an extensive variety of coffee and beverages. The seasonal menu features a wide selection of vibrant salads, soups and made-to-order sandwiches, as well as delicious sweets and pastries, including Goddess’ famous rainbow cake. The restaurant’s one-of-a-kind beverages include a rotating selection of coffee from favorite third-wave roasters around the country and world, cold brew coffee on Nitro tap, tea and espresso drinks. The restaurant also offers a juice bar and serves tap beer, wine and specialty cocktails.
The location at The Corners will feature the eatery’s signature mid-century décor and style, including geometric materials, modern details and pops of vibrant colors that combine to create a light and airy space perfect for large groups or the single diner. The chic, café-style settings will offer indoor and outdoor seating, as well as takeout and delivery options.
Goddess Group restaurants owner Debbie Sharpe got her start in concert catering, traveling the globe and cooking for some of the most influential musicians of the time. She settled in Chicago after touring with Paul McCartney, and opened part-grocery store, part-restaurant The Goddess and Grocer in 2004. The Goddess’ creative sandwiches, salads and gourmet pantry items were an immediate hit, and it wasn’t long before the spin-off concept Goddess and the Baker was born. Today, the Goddess empire includes seven locations and a catering division.
